C) Participants:
The participation of all project partners is compulsory. Over the course of the kick-off meeting, a substantial amount of information mainly related to the project management and coordination, PhD research lines, resource allocation, quality assurance, risk mitigation, communication, and other activities are provided and discussed in detail.
D) Program brief overview
The participants are invited to come earlier to Delft, the Netherlands, in order to rest and discuss the matters before the meeting.
Monday 4 April: The meeting starts at 9.00 am. First, a brief introduction to the DC distribution smart grids project will be given. The project coordinator at TU Delft will provide information about the project website, SharePoint, quality assurance of deliverables, quality control measures, and the work plan. Each partner will give a presentation about their institute, experience in the topic and specific plans within DCSMART.

The meeting room will be equipped by: multimedia computer connected to the Internet, data projector, overhead projector, laser printer, and copy machine.

H) Travel
By plane
To airport “Amsterdam Schiphol” http://www.schiphol.nl/ which is approx. 50 km to the venue. From there by rented car (40 minutes) or by train.
By train http://www.ns.nl it takes about 40 – 45 minutes to get to Delft train station (single ticket costs 9.50 Euro). From train station by taxi (about 10 minutes to the venue) or
By bus no 69, 121 or 40 which takes about 15 minutes. Details see “public transport”
Alternatively you can fly to Rotterdam Airport

It takes about 40 minutes to get from Rotterdam Airport to Delft train station. From

By car
- From North via A4 Amsterdam/Den Haag, change to A13 direction
Delft/Rotterdam, leave exit 10, further directions see as follows
- From east via A12 Utrecht/Den Haag, change to A13 direction

Take exit 10 Delft-Zuid; TU Delft.
Take the 1st road on your left side(Schoenmakerstraat);
Go straight (ahead) for a couple kilometres

Take the 2nd road on your right side ( Balthasar van der Polweg)
Take the 1st road on your left side (Feldmannweg)
There is enough parking space behind this red high EWI building

Pass the slighting door turn on your left, walk straight on.
Take the lift on your left to the 9th floor and from the lift walk on your left side.
At the end of the corridor on your right side is the meeting room Dijkstrazaal.
